Hi!  I'm Clare.  
 
I live with my husband and two children in the French Alpine resort of Val d’Isere, part of the enormous Espace Killy region that includes Tignes.  My passion for skiing began as a small child.  My father always has been (and always will be) a fanatical skier and this love has been passed through the generations.  Having arrived here in 2006, after reaching a crossroads in my previous career of Psychology, I embarked upon the journey of becoming a ski instructor and have been here ever since.  After a few years doing back-to-back winters we now live year round in Val d'Isere enjoying everything the mountains have to offer.


SKI WITH ME
 
I am a fully qualified British instructor with my ISTD (International Ski Teacher Diploma) Level 4 BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) qualification and full French equivalence.  I also hold the European Mountain Safety qualification as well as being a Level 2 Race Coach.
 
I believe the reviews from my clients speak for themselves (click here to see more) - “fantastic”, “informative”, “fun”, “confidence building”, “improvement”,  “encouraging” are words that crop up a few times…  I have been skiing since the age of 5 and have a passion for the sport, which I love to pass on to others.  Everyone skis for different reasons, but the main reason to improve is to get more enjoyment out of this wonderful sport.  Enjoyment and learning go hand-in-hand so my aim is to make sessions fun and relaxed, helping you to understand the “whys” & “hows” for long lasting improvements.
 
Having worked in different settings and resorts around the world - winters in Val d’Isere followed by summers in New Zealand (for their winter) and The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead - I have a wealth of experience with a wide range of skiers.
 
If you are coming as a family, I am a mother myself and understand the importance of knowing that your little ones are in safe hands, and having an amazing time which will leave them wanting more!  I have been skiing with my daughter since she was 2 years old - now at the age of 7 she is skiing with confidence all over the slopes.  And my 4 year old son is building his confidence too!
 
Being based in Val d’Isere means I can offer lessons/guiding within the Espace Killy, covering both Val d’Isere and Tignes.   No matter your age or ability, goals and aspirations we can work together to take your skiing holidays to the next level…
